REVIEW

Its been a while since the last restaurant review, 9 months to be exact but this time I think I've found the best Balti Chicken Tikka Masala in Birmingham. The Balti Hut tandoori restaurant is situated in Stirchley, south Birmingham. It's not licensed but there is an off license opposite. There is a customer car park behind the restaurant and the entrance is to the right of the restaurant, street parking is usually preferred as its pretty dark and muddy at the back.

Over the last couple of months I have frequented the Balti Hut on a weekly basis. Usually I prefer my food with a little kick but since trying this mild sweet tasting dish I've been hooked on it. No other restaurants have come close. After being seated you are given free papadoms, mint sauce & onion salad which you don't see very often as some restaurants now charge up to 50p for a papodom.

On this occaision we ordered balti chicken tikka masala, chicken dupiaza, chicken curry, and a roast chicken. The roast chicken was fresh and hot, not over cooked or dry. We ordered 2 x rice, nan breads (peshwari + garlic + plain) and chips with the meals and there was plenty to go round. The dupiaza had plenty of onlons and lived up to expectations. The chicken tikka masala is the best I've ever tasted and now I'm on a mission to find a better Balti Chicken Tikka Masala!
The only main course that was not liked 100% was plain chicken curry but when I tasted it, it seemed fine.

There was four adults and one infant on this occaision on top of the food above we ordered a plain chicken breast for the child. The total bill was just short of £40 (excluding drink). Money well spent.

We would definately recommend this restuarant to anyone and our reccomended dish is Balti Chicken Tikka Masala.

Overall a 5 Star rating recieving a certificate of quality from the BaltiGuide.com
