We've used this restaurant a number of times but on this occaisions it was lacking the high level of service
we experienced from our previous visits, however we were still satisfied with our meals.
The staff was all very smart, clean but wasn't able to answer a simple question about the starters:
"What was the difference between a chicken Pakora and a Samosa ?"
The food was of a high standard, not quite excellent but pretty much the same as most good Balti restaurants.
The Nargis Kebab was pretty disappointing because it was only 1/2 covered with meat, but the pancake and salad
was very crisp and fresh. The main courses arrived soon after along with the side order of Chips and Garlic Naan Bread.
The main courses were a Lamb Tikka balti and Chicken & Prawn Tikka main course
The meals wasn't up to the usual high standards we were used to for this restaurant. Not much Lamb in the balti but more
than enough prawns in the tikka main course.
We have given the Himalaya a 3 star rating.
Although the food was good, it could have been better.
We had 2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 nan bread and chips.
There in an off license approximately 30 yards away for you to take your own drinks,
Parking is available in front of the restaurant.
For two people the cost was £22.00
