Parking in Knowle is pretty easy, Just off the high street (at the Greswolde hotel) turn and follow the road round, after 200 yards, there is a large car park on the left. A walkway from the car park brings you out on the high street.

The Ellora looked quiet from the outside on this Wednesday night but once inside it was quite busy. It's situated on the High Street about 50 yds past the Greswolde hotel.

We were promptly seated to the rear of the restaurant and supplied with popadoms, a drinks order was taken and arrived just as quickly.

We skipped starters and ordered the main courses. Chicken tikka masala, Tandoori mixed grill, nan bread, rice & chips. The Ellora is only 60yds past the Bilash on the opposite side of the road so we thought we would order the same food and could make a comparison. The food was Served on hot plates, The CTM cam out first. Lots of sauce topped with almonds and plenty of chunky pieces of meat. The mixed grill was a different story, it seemed to lack meat, upon investigation we found that the waiter had taken the order down wrong and ordered a Tadoori chicken main course, not the mixed grill. An apology was made and we continued with our meal. The tandoori chicken was plenty for one person, the chicken was cooked just right and the side salad was fresh. Although the CTM was nice and lots of it I personally don't think it's a contender for the CTM challenge.

The bill came to £27, This included 4 drinks (2 beers), 2 mains, Rice, nan & chips.

Overall we gave the Ellora curry centre 3 stars and would probably eat here again.
